Destin, Florida trip

Updated: Jun 17

The holidays have come to an end! It was a magical and short time that my husband and I enjoyed in Destin, Florida. This fishing town has its roots in the 1800s, when European immigrants settled in the area. Destin is named after the first families who settled there and is known for its fine white sand beaches and emerald-colored waters.

In October, a famous fishing tournament is held in the Gulf of Mexico, where fishermen from around the world participate. With 35 different species of fish, Destin is the perfect place for fishing enthusiasts. In addition, the beaches, such as Henderson Beach, are ideal for enjoying the sun and the sea, with covered areas equipped with tables, benches, and grills for outdoor dining.

The Destin Fishing and History Museum is a must-visit to learn about the city's history and the marine species that inhabit the area. The Destin Aquarium is also a fascinating place, with exhibitions of dolphins, seals, sea lions, sea turtles, sharks, and crocodiles, among other species.

The Destin boardwalk offers a wide variety of restaurants, bars, live music, and maritime attractions such as yacht rides, jet skis, and boat tours. There is also a restaurant that offers an educational show with crocodiles, where you can feed these animals and take a photo with them.

Additionally, in the area there is an arcade for children, a giant water park, and many other activities to enjoy as a couple or as a family. Destin is a complete tourist destination, where fun and entertainment are guaranteed.
